After two years at the Daily Mail, senior showbiz journalist Ben Todd is joining Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment as UK Head of Media on April 10, where he will head up communications for the company's music and TV assets, including The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent.

Todd, who is currently up for Showbiz Journalist of the Year at The British Press Awards, was appointed by Syco’s COO Charles Garland and LA-based Global Head of Media, Ann-Marie Thomson.
